Jennifer House Stecklein

Hello My Name Is...

Jennifer House Stecklein

My name is Jennifer Stecklein and I was raised in Spring Hill. After graduating from SHHS I attended Allen County Community College and obtained an Associates of Arts degree. Next, I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Missouri Western State University in the fall of 2013. I was a college athlete at both institutions, participating in volleyball and basketball. Being a student-athlete has given me the drive to always push myself and work for the good of the team. I will carry this quality into my classroom as I create a fun, yet challenging place for students to push themselves and others.

This year will be my SIXTH year of teaching and doing my dream job. In the 2013- 2014 school year, I student taught in 3
rd Grade and then was a para here at SHES to finish out the year. Then next  years I have taught 4th grade. I have a huge passion for teaching young students and can’t wait to be a part of your child’s growth.

After school, you will find me coaching volleyball at the middle school or coaching basketball at the high school. I love being able to continue to see my former students as they progress into older grades and develop into student-athletes!

I am a huge family oriented person and enjoy spending most of my free time with them. I live with my family: Will and our 3 boys. Tyler 11, Gage 9 and our son Jace 3. We love playing outdoors, going for bike rides, going to the pool, and love any family or friend get-togethers! Being in the parent role has helped me learn what parents expect and need from teachers.

My goal for the upcoming school year is to obtain each student’s full potential. I want students to push themselves beyond their reach and then succeed. Every child learns differently, so therefore I will adapt my teaching to support each of their personal needs. I will give my students my all everyday and work to get theirs. I am looking forward to getting to know and learn from your child! I love being a part of my student’s lives outside of school and enjoy seeing them in their sports or activities where they feel at their best. Please give me a schedule so I can show your child my support doesn’t only mean in a classroom!
