Contact Tracing
Effective January 4, 2022, JCDHE is no longer contact tracing. For elementary students, Spring Hill School District will provide grade level notification of a positive case. For secondary students and district staff, Spring Hill School District will provide updated information on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
The COVID-19 Dashboard will be updated twice weekly with all positive cases. Because JCDHE is no longer contact tracing, we encourage families to regularly monitor the COVID-19 Dashboard.
Isolation
If an individual tests positive for COVID-19 or is suspected of having COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, individuals are required to stay home for five days.
If symptoms have resolved or are improving after five days, students and staff have a choice between (a) isolating for an additional five days, OR (b) returning to school and school-related activities and wearing a mask for an additional five days regardless of mask exemptions. If a student or staff member returns to school for the additional five days, they must be separated in instances where they cannot mask (e.g., mealtimes, snacks).
Quarantine
Students and staff who have been exposed to COVID-19 but are not positive should follow the JCDHE recommendation for exposure based on their vaccination status. Students and staff who have been exposed to COVID-19 and are positive or showing COVID-19 symptoms will be isolated.
