Discussion Items
Board Policy Recommendations
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Josh Robinson provided updates on policy revisions.
Site Council: No changes were recommended after review, as current practices already meet statutory requirements.
Policy KGB (Concealed Observations/Recordings): Discussion centered on clarifying language related to recordings and privacy. Dr. Robinson noted that the proposed update simply adds the live stream of public meetings to the existing policy. Board members expressed interest in additional clarification around spaces where privacy is expected, such as restrooms and locker rooms, for potential future updates.
Bond 2025 Update
Marc Williams, Executive Director of Operations, and Kyley Delphia, Director of Facilities, presented a detailed update:
The district received initial cost estimates for the elementary additions (Spring Hill Elementary, Timber Sage Elementary, Prairie Creek Elementary), which came in under the allocated budget.
Renderings and floor plans were shared, showing additions of four large classrooms, two small classrooms, and office/storage spaces at each site.
All three additions will follow a shared timeline, with bids expected in October 2025, construction starting in November 2025, and completion projected for August 2026.
FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), as well as classroom technology (projectors, screens, Apple TVs), are included in the budget.
Work continues on HVAC planning and design in partnership with DLR and Newkirk Novak.
Action Items
The Board unanimously approved policy recommendations as presented.
