🔧 SHES Reroofing Project Update
Spring Hill Elementary School has begun a reroofing project that will continue over the coming months.
Beginning later this week, crews will be on site from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays to help minimize disruption during the school day. They will pause work during any evening school events in or around the building, and will work the occasional weekend to help keep the project on schedule. Once the school year has ended, they will transition to a standard 7:00am-5:00pm work schedule.
The crew will stage materials at the edge of the north parking lot, ensuring enough parking is available for staff. In addition, a crane, dumpsters, and other materials will be placed in the alleyway adjacent to the old gymnasium during these first phases of the project.

Kona Ice rescheduled for next Tuesday, April 21!
Due to the possible storms tomorrow we are rescheduling Kona Ice for a future date. We will let you know the new date as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

Mrs. McLennan has officially become the self-proclaimed “chicken lady” of 1st grade and her incubator babies were on day 20 of 21 (and chirping!) when the storms knocked out a majority of SH’s power 😳🐣
Mrs. McLennan emailed Mr. Dave at 10:00pm asking what to do… and he simply replied, “I’ll meet you there.” Rescue mission was carried out by 10:30pm💜.

Chick Watch 2026 continues....we now have a few babies!
As mentioned in the SHES Newsletter, the PTO wants to remind everyone of the PTO meeting TONIGHT. We welcome all parents and guardians to attend and be a part of what's coming in 2026-2027. We value your input and support, and you can be as vocal and involved as you're comfortable with. Tonight's meeting will recap the last couple of months and also nominate and vote for next year's PTO Officers. Please attend!
Third graders worked on a Native American STEM Activity after state testing. Students had to work together with their teams to create a shelter that Native Americans would have lived in. Students learned about different Native Americans in our most recent CKLA unit.
Today is the last day of our book fair; we will close at 1:00pm.
No Kindergarten Classes on Friday, April 10th due to Kindergarten Round Up.
